The Biden Regime has decided that the mass influx of illegal aliens that it created is having political ramifications. The ramifications are not the open borders with the aim of White Replacement, but the effect that mass numbers of illegal aliens are having on local Democrat politicians and the political implications of the hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens now dependent for food, clothing, and shelter in those Democrat constituencies, like New York City (NYC). The brilliant plan by Governor Greg Abbott to shift the burden of the illegal alien population to Sanctuary Cities has now borne fruit. Mayor Eric Adams has admitted that the current migrant crisis will destroy NYC.

Sanctuary City Mayor Decries The Illegal Aliens Taking Sanctuary In His Sanctuary City

Mayor Adams blames Governor Abbott for the crisis, but only eight thousand of the 110,000 illegal aliens who have benefited from the Biden Regime Administrative Amnesty were bused to NYC. The rest of the illegal aliens were attracted by the mere existence of a welfare abundant Sanctuary City.

So, the Biden Regime has suddenly decided to enforce the part of immigration law that requires aliens arrested in the United States to remain in the Border Patrol Sector in which they were arrested, which for a good part means Texas. Interestingly, the Biden Regime is not trying to impose this rule in other border States. Call it the Remain-In-Texas solution to Democrats being embarrassed by illegal alien rapists and welfare cheats being bused to Sanctuary Cities instead of the effective and legal policy of Remain-In-Mexico.

The Biden administration is considering forcing some migrant families who enter the country without authorization to remain near the border in Texas while awaiting asylum screening, effectively limiting their ability to travel within the U.S., three U.S. officials told The Times.

Administration officials have been considering the idea as a way to stem recent increases in the numbers of migrant families crossing the southern border, which reportedly reached an all-time high last month. Supporters of the remain-in-Texas idea, which has yet to be finalized, hope that it would help the administration advance its goals of quickly deporting families who fail initial asylum screenings and deterring other families from crossing in the first place.

But the proposal, which recalls President Reagan’s efforts to limit asylum-seekers’ movements in the late 1980s, is likely to draw fierce opposition from immigrant rights groups and border-state officials. Since 2022, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, a Republican, has bused thousands of migrants out of his state to Democrat-run cities such as Los Angeles, New York and Washington, D.C.

Biden Administration Considers Forcing Migrant Families To Remain In Texas, by Hamed Aleaziz, LAT, September 7, 2023

Legally, the Biden Regime would be correct. The law is quite clear: The Immigration and Nationality Act, as amended, mandates that aliens released after arrest need the permission of the District Director of the legacy Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), now the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), to leave the district in which they were arrested. Furthermore, an arrested alien must be placed in removal proceedings in the district of the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), the immigration court system, in which the charging document was filed, i.e., where arrested. An alien in proceedings may at a later date petition the EOIR for a change of venue with the concurrence of the agency. Summarized, aliens need to remain where they were arrested, so they know where to appear for their deportation hearing. It is quite a simple and legally sound policy that was used by the Reagan Administration to deal with their own zerg rush so many years ago [This Is Not The First Border Crisis. No New Laws Needed—Reagan Administration Did Fine in 1988, July 17, 2014].

The notorious open borders reporter here, Hamed Aleaziz, who formerly wrote for the communist terrorist publication Mother Jones, seeks to deceive the reader, implying that this is some sort of illegal conspiracy designed to violate the rights of illegal aliens.

The idea of forcing migrant families to stay near the border hasn’t been tried in decades, said Yael Schacher, director for the Americas and Europe at Refugees International and a historian of U.S. immigration.

“There hasn’t been an attempt to force asylum seeking families to remain in border towns for 35 years,” she said.

In the late 1980s, the Reagan administration forced thousands of migrants to apply for asylum near where they crossed in south Texas, and receive their decision there as well. Officials were clear at the time that the policy was intended to deter families from crossing.

Only in an embedded link in the story did the truth came out about the lawful basis of the policy. Typical for a Palestinian Lügenpresse operative.

INS spokesman Duke Austin said there was never any restriction placed on travel, only that the cases would be adjudicated in South Texas. But a Reagan Administration spokesman conceded that, “as a practicality, none of them had the money to fly to Miami and then come back for their hearing.” And another INS official said that one of the methods used to keep refugees in South Texas was to deny them authorization that would allow them to work.

So much for journalistic ethics.

But the purpose of this policy is not to make deporting illegal aliens easier as claimed, nor to comply with the regulations, but to lessen the horrible public relations problem that the mass invasion is having on Democrat politicians in Sanctuary Cities and counteract the effective actions by Governor Abbott and Governor Ron DeSantis.

And the crisis is only getting worse. The increase in illegal entrants observed in July has only accelerated and the August numbers are even worse, beating the last month of Title 42 expulsions, May, by 8,000—showing the complete failure of the Biden Regime strategy to replace illegal invaders with a hidden parole amnesty [Border Collapse Being Hidden With An Illegal Parole Amnesty, by Federale, VDare, May 20, 2023].

Record numbers of migrant families streamed across the U.S.-Mexico border in August, according to preliminary data obtained by The Washington Post, an influx that has upended Biden administration efforts to discourage parents from entering illegally with children and could once again place immigration in the spotlight during a presidential race.

The U.S. Border Patrol arrested at least 91,000 migrants who crossed as part of a family group in August, exceeding the prior one-month record of 84,486 set in May 2019, during the Trump administration. Families were the single largest demographic group crossing the border in August, surpassing single adults for the first time since Biden took office.

Overall, the data show, border apprehensions have risen more than 30 percent for two consecutive months, after falling sharply in May and June as the Biden administration rolled out new restrictions and entry opportunities. The Border Patrol made more than 177,000 arrests along the Mexico border in August, up from 132,652 in July and 99,539 in June.

The proper action by the Republicans should be impeachment and announcements by the Trump and DeSantis campaigns that they will arrest and prosecute Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and the Jewish-Cuban unindicted visa fraudster Alejandro Mayorkas. I’m waiting.
