From the Toronto Globe & Mail:

Trump’s racism is more than rhetoric – it forms policy and ruins lives

SARAH KENDZIOR

SPECIAL TO THE GLOBE AND MAIL PUBLISHED JANUARY 13, 2018

… Mr. Trump and his backers have abandoned the idea that America is for everyone – a fundamental precept of the United States.

Commenter Jus’ Sayin’ adds:
“America is for everyone”

The Zeroth Amendment. First Article in the Bill of Rights.

First seen in the Mayflower Compact, this became the closing sentence of the Declaration of Independence. Later it was incorporated into the Articles of Confederation and enshrined into law in the Northwest Act. Lincoln reiterated this theme in all his major addresses. It was part of the Emancipation Proclamation. Woodrow Wilson made it the Zeroth of his Fourteen Points. More recently one can find it as a prominent apart of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights.

It’s Who We Are.
