La Raza's Cecilia Munoz: Reconquista in the White House

Any doubts that President Obama was not going to play the race card in the upcoming election were swept away on Tuesday by the appointment of Hispanic partisan Cecelia Munoz as Director of the Domestic Policy Council. The Drudge Report quite correctly rewrote the headline of Tuesday’s The Hill story by Amie Parnes and Erik Wasson to read OBAMA PICKS AMNESTY LOBBYIST FOR WH POLICY DIRECTOR

The White House announced Tuesday that Cecilia Muñoz, a former senior vice president of the National Council of La Raza, would replace Melody Barnes at the top of the council.

Muñoz is an immigration expert who worked for the National Council of La Raza, the largest Latino civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States, until she joined the administration in 2009. The group works to improve opportunities for Hispanic Americans and advocates legislation that would provide a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants

It appears her predecessor was simply fired to make way for Munoz.

Barnes left her position at the end of last month and is looking for work in the private sector

ABC News notes Obama bent his own rules to originally hire Munoz

Muñoz, the former senior vice president for the controversial group National Council of La Raza, was one of the former lobbyists for whom President Obama signed a waiver permitting an exception from his campaign promise to, “close the revolving door that lets lobbyists come into government freely.”
While La Raza supports expanding opportunities for the Latino community, critics say it does so at the expense of other ethnic groups, and also supports illegal immigration, something the group denies.

Munoz distinguished herself in 2007 by describing the opposition to the Bush Amnesty/Immigration Acceleration effort as a “wave of hate”.

Of course this means that the Obama Administrative Amnesty will continue full tilt. In fact, there have been several further actions to expand it recently, which we have simply lacked the resources to document.

As predicted the Obamacrats have abandoned the white working class. In Peter Brimelow’s words, this is all about Race.

Naturally, given their cowardly nature, it is far from clear the GOP leadership will respond. But this is 2012 not 2040. They may not need to.

The historic American nation does not have a White House address
