S. Adelson: " I bought them. They will obey me in EVERYTHING!

Since a vicious Harry Reid denunciation of the Koch brothers was disrupted recently by an enterprising questioner drawing him into defending Sheldon Adelson, Reid has been much criticized for hypocrisy, notably by The Daily Show.

But I think Harry Reid deserves applause. He has highlighted the truth about the GOP Establishment’s new owner. Reid said-

Sheldon Adelson is great on all social issues, that’s what I said. I didn’t talk about him any more. I didn’t praise Adelson, I just said on social issues he’s good.

Good that is if you are a Minority Occupation Government Democrat. Bad if you belong to or like the values of the Historic American Nation.

Adelson is actually a liberal. No, really. He said so. I know because, last January while I was interviewing the CEO of the Las Vegas Sands Corp. …he said so.... he spoke highly of his interactions with Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick. When I remarked that the Democratic governor with strong ties to Barack Obama seemed an unlikely bedfellow for a man like Adelson, he pushed back.

“I’m a social liberal,” he told me. “I’m socially very liberal. Too liberal.”

…To whom don’t you see Adelson handing out large sums? Groups trying to ban abortion or same-sex marriage. Groups hoping to convince the public that man-caused global warming’s a hoax. Groups working to build anti-Mexican fences or line our borders with gun-toting vigilantes.

There can be no doubt that the influence of Adelson and donors like him was the reason why Romney in 2012 turned crazily belligerent on foreign policy, ran away from immigration and Chick-fil-A – and lost.

It looks very much as if Adelson despises White America  and wants it slighted. Remember, before hiring Newt Gingrich to drag out the GOP 2012 Presidential contest he employed the Portly One in a major Hispandering campaign

If the donors were true American patriots, perhaps it would be unobjectionable. But there is every sign that these are “malefactors of great wealth” – men crazed by selfishness  and, in the case of Adelson, maddened by hypocrisy and bigotry over Israel into the bargain. These men have their own agendas and  input of the GOP’s actual voters is being deliberately and flagrantly blocked. Adelson chose to advertise his reflexive leftism in his December Wall Street Journal interviews. I said then

•    Sheldon Adelson is the enemy

•    Any pol who wants/takes money from Adelson is the enemy

•    With these fantastic amounts of money on offer, any elected official is extremely likely to be corrupted quickly.

Presidential campaigns are being bought. The Republican Establishment is being bought. The Congressional leadership and the Republican National Committee are being bought.

And America is being sold.
