The Hill put out this ominous tweet this morning:

My first reaction to this was, naturally, so what, but anyway the tweet links to this story about Roy Moore, the conservative Senate candidate in Alabama: “Organization founded by Roy Moore shared video calling Obama a Muslim.”

Here are the first few grafs:

A Christian legal organization founded by Senate candidate and former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore (R) shared a video on its Facebook page suggesting that former President Obama was a Muslim, CNN first reported on Wednesday.

The Foundation for Moral Law, which Moore founded in 2002, shared a video in 2015 titled "OBAMA THE MUSLIM, HIS OWN WORDS" featuring various clips of Obama taken out of context to suggest that he practiced Islam.

The video featured Obama praising Islamic civilization and its contributions to the international community, saying that its accomplishments “made the world a better and more beautiful place, have earned the respect of the United States and the world.”

You can see the video here:

Another clip featured Obama speaking at a conference in Cairo in 2009, where he says, “So I have known Islam on three continents before coming to the region where it was first revealed. That experience guides my conviction…” CNN reported that the clip was edited to stop before Obama finishes the sentence: “...that partnership between America and Islam must be based on what Islam is, not what it isn't.”
I don’t know whether Obama is a Muslim, but I do know that if we treated Islam for what it is, not what it isn’t, Islamic immigration to the United States would be stopped immediately, and the Muslims here would be rounded up and deported.
