If you to want know how leftist ideology beclouds the mind, look no farther than Pope Francis’ thoughts about Muslim terror after the murder of the priest on the altar. Here it is, courtesy of NBC:
He told reporters the situation was like “a mixed fruit salad” and that there were “violent people in all religions.”

“I do not like to talk about Islamic violence because every day when I skim the papers ... I read about violence in Italy: this one who killed the girlfriend, another killed the mother-in-law ... and they are all baptized Catholics,” he said aboard a Rome-bound flight from Poland on Sunday.

“If I talk about Islamic violence, then I also have to talk of Catholic violence. Not all Muslims are violent, just like not all Catholics are violent,” the pontiff added. “It’s like a mixed fruit salad. There is a bit of everything. There are violent people in all religions.”

No, Your Holiness, you don’t have to “talk of Catholic violence” if you “talk about Islamic violence.”

Let’s forget the 14-century war Islam has waged against Christendom, and why Pope Urban II called the First Crusade.

Muslims commit violence because of their religion. Islam and its holy book, the Koran, urge Muslims to rob, rape and murder.

Catholics commit violence despite being Catholics. The Church, and its Holy Book, the Bible, enjoin Catholics to love one everyone as they love themselves.
