Brenda Walker's post Jeff Sessions Warns of Obama Amnesty, Calls for Citizen Action noted that Sessions and Ted Cruz have appealed to citizens to call their representatives (NumbersUSA tells you how) and ask them to stop Obama's unconstitutional Administrative Amnesty, and it's working:
The phone lines are jammed.

The American people have risen up in response to a rallying cry from Sens. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) and Ted Cruz (R-TX), overloading the phone lines on Capitol Hill to pressure their members of Congress to fight against President Obama’s planned executive amnesty for millions of illegal aliens.

“I was on hold with the Capitol Hill switchboard about a minute or so each time I called my Representative and my two Senators,” Catharine Trauernicht, a Tea Party activist in Virginia, told Breitbart News Monday. “Typically, my calls are answered right away, but I always know that citizens have sprung into action when the switchboard recording comes on and says, ‘All of our operators are assisting other callers at this time.’”

[Fearing Obama Unilateral Amnesty Threats, Tea Party Jams Congress's Phone Lines, By Matthew Boyle, Breitbart.com, June 28, 2014]

The people who are the target of this, really, are the Republican Senators and Representatives, the ones who are supposed to be opposing Obama on principle, but aren't, because of their donors.

It's like an old  Western movie, where the Town Gambler and his gang runs the town, with the help of the corrupt, incompetent Sheriff. Obama is the head crook in this scenario, there's no use appealing to him and his friends, but the Sheriff may be brought to remember his duty, either by seeing the light, or feeling the heat.

Mickey Kaus is asking people to tell Boehner not to pass any new laws, which might have amnesty attached to them.

It would be too perverse if the result of a) the border crisis, which has rightly put Dems on the defensive by demonstrating the folly of a pre-enforcement amnesty and  b) Obama’s obnoxious, unpopular assertion of power to grant amnesty on his own, were c) the permanent amnesty Obama wants but hasn’t been able to get.
