In Treason Lobby Touting Bogus Allegations Of Rape Against Immigration Officers, his blog entry here last Sunday, Federale referenced a Department of Homeland Security [DHS] memo to then-DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson from the department's Inspector General [IG].

The memo, Oversight of Unaccompanied Alien Children [UAC] (PDF; August 28, 2014) resulted from the IG's follow-up to allegations by the American Civil Liberties Union that children who washed into the U.S. via the 2014 border tsunami were being mistreated while in federal custody.  The IG found the ACLU's complaints to be without merit.

While investigating conditions in the DHS's holding facilities for UAC in the southwest, the IG's people also dropped in, unannounced, at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Artesia, New Mexico to see conditions there for "family units which include children" (as distinguished from UAC).  Among the IG's commentary, this item at the bottom of the memo's second page attracted my attention:

DHS has changed the food choices available to family units to accommodate requests for a more familiar diet.
That's so painfully typical of our beloved [not!] fedgov: Cater to people who, in effect, have crashed a party and are now complaining about the music, the lighting, and the food.

Of course these "family units" (and the UACs) are all ILLEGAL ALIENS.  Therefore, it would be much better to follow the prescription of our late [PDF], lamented hero Terry Anderson:

Give 'em a baloney sandwich and a bottle of water and load 'em on the first thing smokin', back to Mexico.
