One would think that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) would be above petty or even grand politics. Airworthiness and air safety are the least of any government issue that should be or are subject to partisan or ideological interests, aside from loony Libertarians who would accept crashing planes, so long as death payments were made, but not even that if bankruptcy laws prohibited that from happening. 

But from Obama's first term, then the Biden Regime, political interference in the FAA has been the new rule, interference that could easily result in mass casualty events caused by air disasters, all based on the politics of the day. 

That is why a recent move by the FAA against the State of Florida and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s (FDLE) aviation unit is of deep concern. Coupled with the bogus investigations of President Donald Trump, any claim by the FAA that their investigations are not politically neutral are likely lies.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has come under increased scrutiny as it has become a key part of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ broader political agenda.

A former state pilot says he has been interviewed as part of an investigation being conducted by President Joe Biden’s administration into Florida’s top police agency.

The scrutiny centers around the aviation unit, which earlier this year admitted that a policy of carrying out flights to stop migrants from coming into the Florida Keys—which was championed by Gov. Ron DeSantis—put its own pilots in danger.

The potential investigation into the Florida Department of Law Enforcement is mentioned in a letter dated Dec. 2, which was sent to Florida’s chief inspector general by former FDLE pilot Robert Robbins.

In the letter, a copy of which was obtained by NBC News, Robbins outlined a series of alleged policy and legal violations.

Robbins also said he was contacted by the Federal Aviation Administration as part of an investigation into safety concerns with the FDLE’s aviation unit.

Ostensibly it sounds serious, but the meat of the story is that some pilots were being required to fly single engine airplanes on long flights over water and the head of the aviation unit had flown helicopters without a pilots’ license.

While serious, the complaint is not that significant as the over-water flight complaint was essentially moot after the FDLE changed the assigned type of plane to one better suited to over-water flights, though no FAA rule prohibits flying single engine planes over water.

So, the only serious part of the complaint is that an employee flew without a license, though that has not been confirmed.

Clearly the complaint is mostly politically motivated by an employee who was disciplined, but the radical Leftists at MSNBC immediately gave the complaint political importance by claiming the FDLE is somehow politicized.

Robbins’ letter also discusses immigration flights that have been taking place off the Florida Keys since DeSantis signed an executive order in January activating the Florida National Guard and state law enforcement to watch for immigrants coming ashore, a mission that included flights over the waters off the Keys to look for boats of migrants. It was seen as an escalation of his political fight with the White House ahead of an expected run for president.

However, the obviously politically motivated Matt Dixon [contact him here], presented no evidence other than that the aviation unit was ordered to assist U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air And Marine Operations (CBP AMO) and the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) in searching for alien smugglers around Florida waters. Both the CBP AMO and USCG have not refused FDLE assistance, so there is no even imagined political aspect of the FDLE for the Biden Regime to investigate or punish.

The real motivation of the Lügenpresse was to give cover for another abuse of Federal authority directed against another of Joe Biden’s political opponents, whom even the morons at MSNBC know will be a better and more right-wing President.

Over the past several weeks in Florida, DeSantis has shown what a politician unmoored from fundamental democratic principles—and intent on waging political warfare—can achieve. It could become a model for Republicans across the country, expanding Trumpism into alarming new territory.

DeSantis’ latest move this week was signing legislation that would create a new security office to investigate allegations of voter fraud. The bill would also levy significant new penalties for violations of state election law, including fines of up to $50,000 for failing to submit voter registration forms within two weeks.

Usually such FAA investigations usually result in only paperwork fines and corrective action, but any noncriminal violation can be easily contorted into a criminal offense, maybe even a civil rights beef. Perhaps the Biden Regime will decide that it is a crime for a State official to report an illegal alien or assist the CBP and the U.S. Border Patrol. Or, more likely, any falsified documents will result in criminal charges such as Title 18 United States Code (USC) Section 1519, Creation Of A False Record or 18 USC Section 1001, False Statements.

Given that the Regime is frightened of Governor DeSantis, one could see a Jack Smith–like prosecutor bringing charges, however far removed from what usually happens, for partisan political reasons. The Biden Regime seems to play to the radical Left and MSNBC in particular, as MSNBC is the most slavish the Lying Press in its coverage of Joe Biden. You heard it here first.
