Edgar Tamayo Finally Executed, Mexican Media Reports Within Minutes

Edgar Tamayo, Mexican illegal alien cop-killer defended by the Mexican government, was finally executed on January 22nd, 2014, nearly twenty years after his crime (January 31st, 1994), in Texas. For background, see Edgar Tamayo: Mexico’s Government Goes To Bat For Yet Another Illegal Alien Murderer.

Within minutes, the Mexican media had reported the execution. Tamayo was declared dead at 9:32 p.m.

The report in El Universal, Mexico`s paper of record, entitled Ejecuta Texas al mexicano Tamayo, was posted at 9:45!

But Universal`s rival Excelsior was even quicker off the draw. Excelsior`s article was posted at 9:40 p.m., and was entitled Ejecuta Texas a Édgar Tamayo, pese al repudio internacional . That`s only eight minutes after the declaration of death.

Obviously, the Mexican media was following this quite closely.

An earlier El Universal article, filed by a correspondent in Texas, was posted at 4:29 p.m., five hours before Tamayo`s death, describing the man`s last day. Tamayo ate rice, pork chops, vegetables, coffee and tea and was described as being “calm”, and said, “Twenty years has been much, I`m ready.”

In her blog entry on the topic, Brenda Walker pointed out that ” the killer had earlier imprisonment in California but was not deported upon release, so he remained in this country to murder a police officer.” This point should be stressed again and again, and ought to be part of the current discussion on amnesty.

If our border had been under control all these years, this entire, decades-long saga could have been avoided. The slain Officer Gaddis was only 24 years old at the time of death, and would now be 44 years old.
