Today, on this the 430th birthday of Virginia Dare, and in the chaos and violence all around us, I challenge you to celebrate.

Our movement, our country, our entire civilization, is facing a crisis the likes of which we haven’t seen in a very long time. The totalitarian Left is flexing its muscles in the media, from Silicon Valley, in our schools, in our parks and on our streets. People are being hurt. Destruction is everywhere.

And yet here we are, celebrating the birthday of a little baby – the first English child born in the New World. Innocent, beautiful, and totemic to our entire community of patriotic immigration reformers.

Remember: we are on the side of truth. We are on the side of beauty. We are fighting against desecration, destruction and vice to ensure that our country does not go the way of the Lost Colony.

I take heart knowing that the other side is working toward nothing but a pit of ugliness, guided only by a desire to out-victim each other.  We Americans founded a country unique to history that has its own philosophies, values, social structure, attitudes, festivals, foods and aesthetic. VDARE.com strives to preserve and celebrate the distinctive culture of America.

Make it a conscious choice to embrace and elevate American culture today and every day. Spend time with your family. Go outside. Raise a toast with friends – and talk about Virginia Dare, her legend and its implications for America today and in the future. And if you can, share it on social media for the world to see: #DareToCelebrate!
