In two major developments on the Biden Border Crisis, Joe Biden has admitted that the border isn’t secure and never was. However, his solution is more open borders, not closing the border to illegal immigration. Biden strangely admitted that which Alejandro Mayorkas, Biden’s own Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had been denying. Mayorkas has repeatedly testified under oath that the border was secure. It is uncertain if the Biden Regime is backtracking on denying the crisis or just maneuvering to get money for the Israeli war on the Palestinians and the Ukraine war. (h/t to reader W.R. President Joe Biden said Friday he doesn’t believe the U.S.-Mexico border is secure, giving an unusually blunt assessment on the state of surging migration as he pushes a deal in Congress for “massive changes” to address border security.

“No, it’s not,” Biden said when asked by a reporter whether the border is secure after he gave remarks before a bipartisan group of mayors at the White House. “I haven’t believed that for the last 10 years, and I’ve said it for the last 10 years. Give me the money.”

Is The Southern Border Secure? ‘No, It’s Not,’ President Biden Says, by Joey Garrison, USA Today, January 19, 2024

While admitting the border was not secure, Biden confusingly denied the insecure border was any of his fault.

Following his speech, Biden was also asked whether he believes his policies have contributed to surging migration at the border.

“No. I’ve asked for thousands more of everything from judges to—anyway” Biden said, before taking a different question.

As if asking for more immigration judges would end the crisis, which obviously it would not. The Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), the immigration courts, has an ever increasing backlog, now to 3 million illegal aliens, caused by the current crisis.

The solution to the border crisis is Remain-In-Mexico and Expedited Removal, both remedies are authorized by statute, but the Biden Regime does not want to use these tools, obviously because the Regime is not serious about solving the border crisis they created.

Which brings us to the Supreme Court, which overturned a 5th Circuit Court of Appeals temporary injunction preventing the U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) from destroying State of Texas border fencing. The usual suspect, Chief Justice John Roberts Jr., was joined by Justice Amy Coney Barrett in the decision supported by the open-borders Democrats on the court [Supreme Court Rules For Biden Administration In Texas Border Dispute, by David G. Savage, LAT/Yahoo News, January 23, 2024].

Representative Chip Roy advised Governor Greg Abbott to ignore the decision, which is good advice, but technically there is nothing for the State of Texas to ignore. The decision is in favor of the USBP destroying fencing. The decision did not prohibit Texas from continuing to build border barriers and fencing [Chip Roy Urges Texas Officials To Ignore Supreme Court Order On Border Razor Wire: ‘Go To Hell,’ by Elizabeth Elkind, Fox News, January 23, 2024].

Governor Abbott appears to realize the distinction between the USBP being allowed to cut fencing and the State of Texas allowed to continue to build and replace fencing.

The solution is obvious, the State of Texas should continue to not only build new barbed wire and concertina wire fencing, but double down on both, as well as continue to deploy shipping containers as walls as well. Throw some rocks and dirt in the containers as they are deployed and you get for the most part immovable solid fencing. Such containers cannot be easily moved by the USBP. Emptying, then lifting the shipping containers would be labor intensive and generally discouraging to such attempts.

Texas State Troopers, Guardsmen, and militia could also follow around Border Patrol Agents (BPA) with concertina wire bundles and immediately deploy that wire as the USBP are cutting other wire. Texas could even box in with concertina wire those BPAs doing the wire cutting, forcing them to cut wire to get out. Such actions would likely result in BPAs just giving up in frustration. Or just a riot line of Guardsmen and Troopers with shields blocking the road or path the USBP is using to get to points where they have or will cut the concertina wire? The possibilities of petty harassment and interference are boundless. Just a little imagination and initiative are required.

The issue could be avoided if the State of Texas deployed more watercraft to the Rio Grande, preventing the invaders from even reaching the Texas side of the river.

Also for consideration, arrest BPAs for aiding the violation of state statutes against trespassing and the new law on illegal entry. That will likely result in a real constitutional crisis, but if BPAs can be arrested for shooting illegal aliens by state authorities, then they can be arrested for other crimes in the jurisdiction of the State of Texas [New Evidence Vindicates Lonnie Schwartz, by Federale, Federale Blog, July 11, 2017; Finally, Justice For Lonnie Swartz!, by Federale, Federale Blog, April 25, 2018; and Third Attempt To Railroad Hero Lonnie Swartz Stopped, by Federale, Federale Blog, December 16, 2018].

Even if the Biden Regime filed a lawsuit to prevent Texas from building wire and other fencing, that would give Amy Cony Barrett a chance to reconsider her vote. Barrett has been getting scoured on social media, and she is likely to change her vote under public pressure.
