Peter Brimelow writes: Department of Education officials claimed to be unaware of Jane Elliot’s views in March 2000 when the former Iowa teacher told the DOE’s speaker series on diversity that Governors George W. and Jeb Bush were racists etc. etc.  But teacher union watchdog Michael Antonucci points out in his invaluable Education Intelligence Agency E-mail service http://members.aol.com/educintel/eia that Elliot’s views were very much on the record. The point here is not that DOE was deceitful, desperate, drunk or whatever - it’s that Elliot’s views are out there, in the U.S. public school system.
