Catholic Universities Teach Students To Be Ashamed Of
Their Religion

Re: Athena Kerry’s Column:
God and Girl At Catholic College
It's interesting that popular culture has taken over
Catholic institutions.
I
am no longer surprised when a great
Jesuit college like the
University of Detroit Mercy encourages
female students to
pursue careers at
Planned Parenthood or to embark on fund-raising
campaigns to build
mosques on campus.
Intellectual pursuits have been replaced by monetary
ones in the name of
political correctness.
For Catholics to send their children to Catholic
schools/universities is really sending them to places
where they are taught to be ashamed for being Catholic.
The lack of critical thinking skills defies imagination.
The idea that open-mindedness is the pinnacle of
intellectual achievement suggests that
college students have entirely too much time on
their hands.
Margaret graduated from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids,
Michigan. Says Margaret:
“Despite being persecuted by
political correctness, I am proud to be an
Irish Catholic, an ethnic group that has contributed
mightily to the establishment and success of
Catholic universities including the former
University of Detroit from which several generations of
my family have graduated.”
