I've noticed a higher percentage of letters from concerned Indian readers appearing in Vdare recently.

I thought that an article entitled "Valentine's sparks India violence", which appeared in Salon.com, might be of some interest...

At the least, it illustrates that strong responses to perceived threats to one's cultural norms are usual, and also shows something of the diversity among members of differing cultural environments in determining how one should respond to these perceived threats.

VDARE comments: interestingly, we get a lot of very reasonable mail from immigrants etc. We hope to post a compendium shortly.
