12/03/09 - A SC GOP Activist Says Party Is Wise To Sen. Graham

Forum:
A NY Lawyer Says No Matter What You May Hear, Mandatory
Health Insurance Is Unconstitutional
Letter writer
and lawyer Peter Castiglione neglected to mention that
Obamacare is not only illegal in that it may provide
insurance coverage for aliens, but that it also clearly
violates the Constitution's
Tenth
Amendment,
which reads:
"The powers
not delegated to the United States by the Constitution,
nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the
States, respectively, or to the people."
Defined
another way, the
Tenth Amendment
says that all that is not surrendered by the
Constitution to the government is retained by the
people.
In other
words, I have the right to retain control over my own
health care needs.
The federal
government, on the other hand, cannot legally fine me or
send me to prison if I do not subscribe to
Obamacare.
In the end, what
Obamacare
means is that someone like myself who absolutely will
not participate in such illegitimate schemes will
automatically become law breakers.
So, on top of all its other disasters, the federal
government proposes to turn independent, productive, law
abiding citizens like me into criminals.
This won't apply to
illegal aliens
since they are already criminals.
Obamacare's big fans including the president, the House
and Senate Majority leaders
Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid
should familiarize themselves with the Constitution.
Hickman's previous letter about Americans in major
league baseball is
