Re: James Kirkpatrick’s blog post The Literal End of “America”

James Kirkpatrick writes

Nancy Pelosi didn’t just display the typical liberal hypocrisy when she preened about wanting to take home all the adorable bambinos besieging our Southern border.  Her comment that “We are all Americans–North and South in this hemisphere” may sound odd to Middle Americans but is already established practice at colleges and universities.
We should educate the professional Hispanics, like Jose Antonio Vargas (actually a Filipino, right?), that the word "America" is derived from Amerigo Vespucci, an Italian explorer and cartographer.  Do they really want to claim the name of a dead white European male for themselves?  I think not.

In fact, I expect that if they are ever successful in turning America into a dysfunctional mixed race mush, they will drop the name as too white.
