Re:
Rob Sanchez's Column:
H1-B Bodyshop vs. U.S. First Amendment: The Case
Of "Tunnel Rat"
Sanchez's report on how the
civil liberties of the
"Tunnel Rat" might be infringed raises interesting questions such
as "Where is the ACLU?" and "Where is the SPLC"?
Both of those bodies serve no purpose other than to
promote and advance the cause of civil liberties.
At least that's what they say when they're looking for
money!
"Tunnel Rat"
is an American whose rights appear to have been violated
in a particularly savage and arbitrary manner. Has
anyone from the ACLU or the SPLC been in contact with
him to take on his case, or cases, pro bono?
I think I know
the answer to that question, and it's likely "no".
Professional civil libertarians should always be
approached with the utmost caution for those of your
rights that they are willing to defend are usually only
those which they think you should possess and not those
which you
might already possess.
By
the way, I have posted to my
blog
a belated link to
VDARE.COM's donate page today
writing the following:
"Please
do donate if possible. Peter Brimelow has been
putting out appeals for funds for over a week now; and
my apologies to him for not responding more quickly.
"If VDARE.COM
were to tank, it is unlikely that any other news source
would report on the appalling infringement of civil
liberties suffered by the blogger 'Tunnel Rat'."
I
would ask all those on
VDARE.COM's
extensive Links Page and
blogroll make a
similar appeal.
Best wishes for a
happy and prosperous New Year!
