“Sex Trafficking” A Treason Lobby Myth—Except Perhaps For Biden-Enabled Child Prostitution Rings

A key tactic in keeping the border open for the Biden Regime’s Great Replacement illegal aliens is obfuscation. Thus the number of encounters at the southwest border, and increasingly at the northern border with Canada, is now so staggering—the former is almost 5 million since the beginning of fiscal 2022; the latter, some 360,000—that the issue of “trafficking” (sex and human) is overshadowed. (Even more so, needless to say, is the separate sub-issue that a homosexual ring in the Biden Regime may be enabling the sex trafficking of kids, as VDARE.com’s Patrick Cleburne and Padriac O’Bannon have speculated here and here and as GOP Missouri Senator Josh Hawley has strongly suggested). But the key point for immigration patriots: This alleged “trafficking” problem is really just another way for the Treason Lobby to enable the Great Replacement of the Historic American Nation.

The relative silence on trafficking is broken every January 11, because the federal government’s “Blue Campaign,” which has its own X feed, has made it a propaganda day for the trafficking claim.

(For example: why are these girls blondes? Do they look like typical trafficking victims?)

The Blue Campaign’s purpose: to disguise and then reward illegal immigration by making illegal aliens into victims rather than coconspirators.

The current fad is to differentiate between sex trafficking, human trafficking, and what is actually prohibited by statute: alien smuggling.

  • Sex trafficking usually refers to aliens brought to the United States for prostitution, usually by fraud or deceit. Think of an Eastern European beauty promised a job as a maid, then forced into prostitution.
  • Human trafficking is more nebulous, but usually means illegals brought here for any other purpose through payment, or fraud, or threats. It includes illegals who paid smugglers called coyotes, who in turn might demand more money for the illegals to be released to their families already here.

Alien smuggling is a criminal conspiracy between an alien and a coyote to help that alien into the United States past either the U.S. Border Patrol between the Ports-of-Entry or through POEs past the Customs and Border Protection. It is punishable under three laws:

  • Title 8 United States Code Section 1324, Bringing In And Harboring Certain Aliens;
  • Title 8 USC 1325, Improper Entry By An Alien; and,
  • Title 18 USC 371, Conspiracy.

But highlighting that very illegal activity isn’t, of course, Blue Campaign’s purpose. Rather, it retails the lie that the predominant problem at the border is traffickers who smuggled minors and women into the United States against their will for the purpose of prostitution, slavery, or peonage.

From Blue Campaign’s home page, linked above [emphases added]:

Blue Campaign is a national public awareness campaign designed to educate the public, law enforcement, and other industry partners to recognize the indicators of human trafficking, and how to appropriately respond to possible cases.

Blue Campaign works … to help reduce victimization within vulnerable populations

Blue Campaign’s educational awareness objectives consists of two foundational elements, prevention of human trafficking and protection of exploited persons.

And here’s impeachment-adjacent Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Twitter:

Today we wear blue to recognize the victims of human trafficking, pay tribute to those who work to rescue the victims and hold the perpetrators accountable, and recommit ourselves to the critical mission of eradicating this vicious crime.

At @DHSgov, we take a victim-centered approach to our fight against human trafficking, and we do so in close partnership with law enforcement, the private sector, and community groups throughout the country. We are grateful to our partners and we pay them special recognition today.

Again from Mayorkas:

It is an honor to work with survivors who not only have rebuilt their lives, but who now dedicate themselves to rescuing others. They are heroes, and they help guide our work every day.

Current Federal government policy is that the “victims” of “sex trafficking “and “human trafficking” receive benefits, such as Green Cards.

Thus, under the rubric of sex and human trafficking, illegals are victims, not the criminals.

But the Blue Campaign’s “protection of exploited persons” really means eventual citizenship though the T Non-Immigrant Visa (NIV) or the Violence Against Women Act (WAWA), a permission slip to stay on welfare, keep working, get a green card, and, even for prostitutes, eventual citizenship [Federal Service Guarantees Citizenship, Federale, August 28, 2010]

And the Blue Campaign has been successful. It has increased “awareness” aka credulity about sex trafficking, alleged child sex trafficking, and human trafficking, to such an extent that even some patriots think it’s a real Thing.

It isn’t.

Immigration patriots such as Jessica Vaughan [Tweet her]  and the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) have fallen for the con, as have the cucks at Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC), which is less surprising [Cringe, CIS And CPAC Surrendering To The False Narrative On Human Trafficking, by Federale, January 6, 2024].

So also major political figures on the right: Attorneys General Gentner Drummond of Oklahoma and Ken Paxton of Texas are spreading the myth:

Here’s what is a real Thing: Illegals who jump the border to work or participate in the U.S. welfare state do indeed sometimes land in peonage and/or slavery. Illegal minors often work rather than attend school, a cultural thing. Low IQ Africans and Hispanics don’t appreciate an education, and their kids working rewards them with money.

But that work is voluntary.

So peonage and slavery happens, but not often. Involuntary servitude is typically limited to recent immigrants, who notoriously import slaves or provide coerced labor for conationals.

Blue Campaign lies have now got local law enforcement fighting “human trafficking” But, generally, that’s just a euphemism for prostitution—the “traffickers” are just run-of-the-mill johns.

Note the lack of distinction between sex and human trafficking on one hand and simple solicitation of prostitution on the other. One is a moral panic deliberately devised to reward illegal aliens; the other is the world’s oldest profession.

The most telling evidence that sex and human trafficking aren’t as bad as DHS claims are these data from ICE, which don’t mention sex trafficking:

In FY 2023, VAP [Victim Assistance Program] personnel assisted 7,110 identified victims, including 1,919 minors. Of these individuals, 731 were further identified as human trafficking victims and 1,647 were identified as victims of child exploitation.

ICE Annual Report, ICE.gov December 29, 2023

Thus the report mentions the dreaded “sex trafficking” just once, and a document search for the words “sex,” “sexual,” and “sexual assault” mostly yields material or data about illegal-alien sex criminals.

The truth is that most sex trafficking cases involve American runaways and black pimps, although DHS makes every attempt to imply such cases involve “migrant” victims of sex trafficking, which simply isn’t true:

The fact is that most foreign prostitutes come here voluntarily. “Sex trafficking” is not a public policy problem. It should not become an immigration entitlement.

Caveat: This is quite different from the new possibility that, under Biden, thousands of children stopped at the border and then released are landing in child prostitution rings. In his letter to the DHS inspector general last November linked above, Senator Hawley asked why agents were pulled away from child exploitation cases and other duties to process illegal aliens. In a hearing the month before, he attacked Robin Dunn Marcos, the head of the Office of Refugee Resettlement, because the Regime was sending kids to unknown sponsors. The New York Times had reported that the Federal government had lost track of 85,000 minors.

Given the Biden Regime’s brag in 2021 that 14 percent of its hires were sex deviants, maybe we have yet to uncover a Regime pipeline to child prostitution rings [Biden says nearly 14% of his 1,500 agency appointees identify as LGBTQ, by Nandita Bose, June 1, 2021].

Right now, we just don’t know. And the Regime Media isn’t asking.
