The Soros-backed operation is moving at a very worrying speed, knocking presidential hopefuls off their paths and silencing conservative voices at a rapid rate. At the forefront of this Soros army is the radical New York Attorney General Letitia James. She’s spearheading a baseless crusade against President Trump. But there’s more—James is also targeting a key conservative magazine, VDARE. This magazine is outspoken about the Biden administration’s handling of border security and the so-called “Great Replacement Theory.” Of course, it’s far from just a “theory” at this point, it’s increasingly looking like our stark reality.

What’s happening to VDARE is reminiscent of something you’d see in Soviet Russia or North Korea. But no, it’s happening in the People’s Republic of Amerika.
I launched VDARE.com on Christmas Eve 1999. So it is perhaps appropriate that, on Good Friday 2024, the anniversary of Christ’s death, I must announce VDARE.com’s crucifixion by New York State’s communist Attorney General Letitia James.
On March 27, 2024, in another of her lightning-fast NYAG James-compliant rulings, New York State Supreme Court Judge Sabrina Kraus held us in Contempt of Court because we have not yet complied (because we were fighting it) with her January 23, 2023 order that we meet NYAG James’ massive and crippling subpoena demands.
Judge Kraus did modify her earlier order to reflect the intervention (much appreciated) of the Institute for Free Speech. So now we no longer have to reveal, explicitly, the names of our pseudonymous writers, some of whom would certainly be fired from their jobs if their identities leaked.
But we are still required to review 40 gigabytes of emails, an enormous amount. And of course these could in fact reveal the names of those pseudonymous writers, as well as our donors, privileged communications with lawyers, etc.
Judge Kraus has also now allowed us to redact these emails. But this is a huge task, which our lawyers estimate could cost as much as $150,000.
An observer tells us this order is more typical of major corporate litigation, not a tiny charity.
And, perversely, although Judge Kraus has now modified her January 23, 2023 order, she is nevertheless now fining us $250 a day for not complying with it.
We have fought NYAG Letitia James, at a cost of up to $1 million, for nearly three years. But now we are literally hanging on the cross.

The people who run Vdare, a New York nonprofit organization focused on U.S. immigration policy, have good reason to be very worried. Just as she did with former President Donald Trump, Letitia James is using her authority and resources to selectively target conservative groups. Vdare is now dead center in her crosshairs.
You may or may not agree with the advocacy of Vdare, but that’s not the point. What matters is the right of all American citizens to exercise their first amendment privilege to speak freely, without being selectively targeted by a thug who shouldn’t be the attorney general of New York, or even a licensed attorney.

Sadly, most conservative pundits are keeping mum on this one. Why? Apparently, VDARE’s “edgy” reputation is a bit too much for their little comfort zones. Heads up, folks, we need more “edginess” not less. Have these right-wing pundits seen the brutal enemies we’re fighting?
On the flip side, left-wing ghouls are championing “pregnant men” like it’s no big deal. This exact attitude is why the right struggles to gain ground against the radical Left. Too many on our side are as timid and scared of the Left as those spineless GOP politicians, clueless on how to counter the so-called “racist” label. These words wield a lot of power and influence over many conservatives, even if they won’t admit it. Our failure to push forward stems from “Christian conservatives” being trapped by their own virtue, and Paul Ryan’s mantra: “That’s not who we are.”
What the right is missing is that to take on evil, you sometimes have to flip some tables. Fearlessly. Just like Jesus did—without any hesitation.
