After the disappearance and apparent crash of Malaysian Air flight MH370, authorities are scrambling to find explanations.  One of the things discovered is two people who boarded the flight did so using stolen passports leading many to ask if one or both of these people were terrorists operating under-cover. [Passport Theft Adds to Mystery of Missing Malaysia Airlines Jet, By Thomas Fuller And Eric Schmitt, NYT,  March 8, 2014]

A simple internet search reveals that passport theft and forgery is all too common and hard to combat.  Yet it must be pointed out that at least foreign governments have no intention of making it legal to forge passports.

This is in contrast to the U.S. Senate and its recently passed "comprehensive immigration reform" which does  make  it legal to forge U.S. passports.  Don't believe me?  Read it yourself.  See page 619 line 12.
