Re: Patrick Cleburne's Blog: GOP Leadership And Congressman Cao: Just Deserts

U.S Representative Anh "Joseph" Cao may or may not have been acting in the true interests of his constituents when, as he claims, he voted "yea" on H.R. 3962, the House version of Obamacare that includes health coverage for illegal aliens.

"I have always said that I would put aside partisan wrangling to do the business of the people. My vote tonight was based on my  priority of doing what is best for my constituents," [Rep. Joseph  Cao the Sole Republican to Support Pelosi Health Care, by Daniel  Stone, Newsweek, November 7, 2009]

But one thing is certain. His vote will not win him any support from the Democrats in 2010 when he most likely will be running against State Representative Cedric Richmond, an African-American who narrowly lost the 2008 runoff.

Cao, (grade on amnesty F-), has a curious and likely fatal reelection strategy going.

Despite his vote Cao, Vietnamese, has not influenced District 2 African-American Democrats who favor Richmond. And, Cao at the same time alienated the few Republicans in his district by voting for a Democratic bill!
