It’s almost as if some liberals are unaware that Donald Trump was elected president.

Here is the headline and teaser for today’s editorial from the magisterial editorial board of The New York Times:

The Cult of Trump: The Republican Party goes all in for President Trump. We’ll see how that works out.

And here is one of the editorial’s remarkable insights, which I only skimmed and almost sounds as if it were written in September, 2016:

Assuming that American democracy endures, a party organized around a single extreme personality seems like a brittle proposition.

Might the Times mean a party “organized around a single extreme personality” such as Hillary Clinton. Or Barack Hussein Obama?

But back to the teaser and “Trump’s Cult.” I don’t profess to know how “that works out,” but I do know this: The New York Times and the Democratic Party went all in for Clinton on Nov. 8, 2016. We saw how that worked out.
