China, though it is remarkably open to "Overseas Chinese" is apparently intolerant of its citizens who naturalize elsewhere:

A businesswoman who renounced her Chinese nationality has applied to relinquish her membership of the political advisory body of a Beijing district.

China does not recognize dual or multiple citizenship. Chinese law stipulates that once a Chinese takes foreign citizenship, he or she loses Chinese nationality. It is unknown what nationality Zhang is.

Why don`t we do the same thing when naturalized Americans don`t actually surrender their former alliegances or minority Americans go abroad in search of their forebears` nationality?
