However, I'm sure many other passengers did not agree and recognized it as yet another instance of an immigrant giving birth to an anchor baby mid-flight.
Unfortunately, the woman just missed. According to the Boston Herald, the baby was born in Canadian airspace, and so the child is Canadian.
The Herald also claims that the woman is a legal immigrant, but I have my doubts. Either way, both mother and child appear to ringing in the New Year at taxpayer expense. Happy New Year.
