But it's far from a crazy idea. In the 1990s, a ban in Los Angeles was apparently overturned by the "Association of Latin American Gardeners of Los Angeles". They used methods short of litigation.

It's part of what I call the "Onionization" of racial and immigration issues in America. They get so absurd that the real headline and the Onion headline eventually merge.
