In the large Hall of Shame of Republican Politicos who Pander to Illegal Immigration, Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee deserves special recognition. And this guy is considered a presidential contender!

Huckabee even has a philosophy to justify his having sold out his state and his country. It's the "Second Chance" doctrine.

In a 2003 radio address Huckabee told listeners that

"For decades, we treated our state's African-American population poorly. The Hispanic influx gives us a second chance to prove what kind of people we really are."

Just recently, in a talk to the Political Animals Club in Little Rock, Huckabee was again trotting out the ???second chance??? argument for mass immigration:

"One of the great challenges facing us is that we do not commit the same mistakes with our growing Hispanic population that we did with African Americans 150 years ago and beyond. We???re still paying the price for the pathetic manner in which This country handled that."

So is Huckabee concerned about the present-day plight of black Americans harmed by illegal immigration? I guess not. Huckabee even had the chutzpah to say this; "I think frankly the Lord is giving us a second chance to do better than we did before."

I think the Lord is giving us a chance to save our country from the damage wrought upon it by people like Mike Huckabee. And there may not be another chance.

Email Governor Huckabee here: and tell him what you think.
