Notorious cop beater and Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney (D-Georgia) is struggling to hold on to her seat.

Facing two primary opponents, McKinney's long run in Congress may come to an end tonight...and not a moment too soon as far as I am concerned.

You might recall a few months ago when she smacked a Capitol Hill police officer simply because he had the gall to ask her for identification—which of course, she did not have. To make matters worse, she later held a press conference where she basically accused the police officer of racism as though her behavior could then be considered self-defense or something.

Yeah, I'll never forget her opening remarks: "I am a BLACK woman!!"

Thank goodness she cleared that up...

It wasn't long before she realized her claims of racism (her customary get-out-of-jail-free-card) were not going to fly this time—she made a very public apology for her uncivilized and criminal behavior on the House floor.

Yeah, she may have been a day late and a dollar short.

The returns in her district as of 10:45 EST with only 59% of preceincts reporting are:

McKinney 16,492 or 46.0% Johnson 16,273 or 45.4%

Earlier in the evening, she lead by a good eight points.

As of 20 minutes ago, Johnson had pulled ahead by several points.

Now it seems she holds a puny 0.6% lead...roughly 200 votes...not a very good showing for a six-term politician.

She may pull it off, we'll watch throughout the evening.
