You have to hand it to The Drudge Report: his splash tonight REPUBLICAN LEADER: OBAMACARE HERE TO STAY; IMMIGRATION BY AUGUST crashed the Spokane Spokesman-Review's servers.

The story: the appalling Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (Treason Lobby-WA 5) was quoted about the Amnesty/ Immigration Surge:

Cited as a priority issue by many members of Congress and Obama, 2013 came and went without an immigration package, to the chagrin of many advocacy groups.

McMorris Rodgers said she still thinks a deal could be struck before the election. “I believe there is a path that we get a bill on the floor by August,” she said.

A bipartisan plan was passed in the Senate last spring but made no headway in the Republican-controlled House. McMorris Rodgers echoed the concern brought up by many in the chamber, saying she wants to see stronger border security. But she said she’d support a bill that grants legal status to those undocumented immigrants working toward citizenship, allowing them to remain in the country to work and go to school while they wait their turn in the current system.

“We’re going to have to push that this is a legal status, not amnesty,” she said.

Her extraordinarily artless comment—sure, they're going to have to "push" that it's not Amnesty—shows that McMorris Rodgers is too used to talking to GOP House Leaders/ Big Ag donors (to the extent that they can be distinguished).

Significantly, the comment thread (how long will this be allowed?) is devastating. One example, from a commenter calling him/herself Texas_Tea_Time:

Of course the RINO establishment doesn't want to repeal Obamacare, but they do want to allow amnesty for 30 million illegal aliens. They are just fine with surrendering our individual liberty and national sovereignty as long as their paymasters in the Chamber of Crony Capitalism keep forking out the campaign cash. Time for all these corporatist turncoats to be shown the door.
