The headline on Fox News Latino (and whose genius idea was that?) is Alabama Immigration Law May Keep Charlie Brown and Snoopy Off Stage,  March 10, 2012.

It's actually "New York Company That Hates Alabama Refuses Obey Law."

"A public high school has put the production of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" on hold after a New York licensing house that owns the rights to the play refused to submit a document required under the immigration law.

The licensing company, Tams-Witmark Music Library Inc., relented and submitted the document Friday following inquiries from The Associated Press, school officials said."

Alabama  requires all vendors to certify that they aren't using illegal labor, and in sending a contrract to the Tams-Witmark Music Library, [Contact them] they would have included a standard form, which the company refused to sign, apparently on "principle." The company isn't talking:

"The Manhattan-based company declined comment. “We don’t discuss our business,” said chairman Robert Hut."

Email Robert Hut and ask him if he has a problem with Alabama immigration laws. For earlier news about musical theater and Alabama see "You've Got To Be Carefully Taught To Hate..."
