All right, where does this fit in the #BlackLivesMatter spectrum? I mean, she starts out as an unarmed black woman, then she takes her boyfriend's gun, so he's an unarmed (presumably) black man...it boggles the mind.
White House staffer fires Glock handgun at her boyfriend, a Capitol Police officer By Don Parker, WJLA Monday, August 10th 2015

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (WJLA) — A White House staffer has been charged with domestic violence after threatening her boyfriend, a Capitol Police officer who was off duty, with his service gun and firing one shot in his direction, according to police and court documents.

Barvetta Singletary, 37, a special assistant to the president and a White House legislative liaison to the House of Representatives, has been charged with first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment. The White House says she has been placed on unpaid leave, pending further investigation.

According to the documents, Singletary invited her boyfriend to her home in the 13000 block of Burnished Wood Court in Upper Marlboro Thursday night, Aug. 6. After having sex, Singletary began asking questions about his relationship with another woman he was dating.

Singletary asked him to go outside to his Cadillac Escalade. She asked him where his cell phones were, but he refused to tell her. Singletary then reached into a bag in the vehicle and took out two cell phones and the officer's .40 caliber Glock 23 service revolver, according to the police report.

Singletary then ran back to her home with her boyfriend following. As he pleaded with her to give him the gun, she demanded the passwords to his phones.

When he refused to tell her, she pulled the Glock handgun out of its holster and pointed it at him, the police report says.

“You taught me how to use this, don’t think I won’t use it,” Singletary reportedly said.

As the boyfriend sat on a couch, Singletary walked to a kitchen table about 10 feet away from him and sat down.

“Your phone is more important than me holding this gun on you?” Singletary asked, pointing the gun in his direction and firing one shot, which hit the floor.

The officer got up from the couch and left the home. He told police he saw Singletary wiping the gun with a towel.

After the boyfriend called 911, Prince George's County Police officers arrived at approximately 5:30 a.m., Aug. 7, and placed Singletary in custody without incident, according to the police report.

Roll Call reports that the officer has also been placed on administrative leave by the Capitol Police and that the force provides lockboxes for officers’ guns to keep them safe.[Emphasis added.]

By the way, they have a picture of Ms. Singletary , but otherwise you wouldn't know what race she is. Her boyfriend's race? Unmentioned. The Prince George's County officers? What race are they?

If they'd had to shoot her, we'd know.

Here's another thing. Singletary is a graduate of Howard University, the iconic black college. Iconic or not, it ranks 145th in the country, roughly between the state universities of Kansas and Oklahoma.

I wonder how many graduates of the state universities of Kansas and Oklahoma are working as staffers in Obama's White House.

In the 90s, an FBI agent named Gary Aldrich wrote a book about life inside the Clinton White House that had lots of wild stories.  I wonder how many stories like this will come out after Obama leaves.
