Re: James Fulford's Blog: New York Times Immigration Craziness

"Crazy" is indeed the best word to describe the NYTimes' dedication to massive immigration despite the unemployment figures, school overcrowding or any other of dozens of arguments against open borders.

Fulford pointed out all of the too familiar NYTimes' absurdities. [Getting Immigration Right, Editorial, New York Times, December 25, 2008]

Here's another Times' op-ed published the very next day that is just as loco—for what it doesn't say.

In an otherwise intelligent column about America's need to start living within its means, Bob Herbert writes: "We have behaved in ways that were incredibly, astonishingly and embarrassingly stupid for much too long." [Stop Being Stupid, by Bob Herbert, New York Times, December 26, 2008]

Of course, that would include allowing massive legal and illegal immigration, issuing unlimited non-immigrant visas, lack of border security and little internal enforcement—and absorbing the social and fiscal costs for all these for decades on end.

Does Herbert mention any of these in his indictment of America's ignorance?

Of course he doesn't!

Herbert writes for the New York Times.

Kryhoski's previous letter about the HUD cover up of illegal immigration's role in the mortgage role is here.
