The article about overlooking the supply of water is hitting hard in Texas. I'm 59 and have eaten fish out of a local reservoir since I was a kid. That is, until a few years ago. The last catfish I caught tasted like Drano.

Since the population has increased several fold, ringing the entire lake in McMansions, and I believe the fish are tainted by the chemicals from the several additional water treatment plants that have come online. I've ranted about this to the local populace, but I live in a college/sanctuary city and such topics are generally taboo.
