06/04/07 - A Reader Says "Immigration Si, Colonization, NO!"

From: Name Withheld

The next time our U.S. Senators are pontificating about immigrant "family values," they should recall the tragic murder of Jordin Paulder at the hands of a "Honduran native, " Santos Benigno Cabrera Borjas. Young Paulder was murdered on June 5th, one year ago. (For the details, read Brenda Walker's blog about the case here.)

This is so heartbreaking.  My children are precious to me so something this horrific is difficult to imagine.  It was completely senseless. The fact that the illegal alien killer should not have been here makes it even more terrible.

I cannot remember the crime being mentioned on the local or the national news. But I'm not surprised.

The national media can devote days of coverage to the so called plight of an activist illegal alien mother, Elvira Arellano, taking refuge in a church in Chicago and go on endlessly about how her deportation might affect her and her child's life. But the slaughter of Jordin Paulder receives little or no mention. It is beyond conscience.  If the light of truth were shined on Paulder's tragedy, it would certainly go a long way in preventing other such events.

I ask our elected representatives to put the sanctity of our nation and the welfare of our citizenry at the top of their list of priorities.  The best way to be a good neighbor to Mexico is to force its ruling elite to deal with the plight of its population instead of lining their own pockets.

As for our own country, the fact that our Commander- in-Chief expects our troops to risk their lives and possibly widow their spouses or orphan their children at his behest while at the same time he works ceaselessly to orchestrate the dissolution of our nation is beyond me.

From 1982 to 2003, the writer was an active duty and reserve Marine Officer.
