Brenda Walker's post about Sweden's rush to embrace (and become) a Third World culture reminded me of a quote from Jens Orback, the former Swedish Integration Minister:

“We must be open and tolerant towards Islam and Muslims because when we become a minority, they will be so towards us.”

I found it at Rick Darby's blogsite "Reflecting Light" under the heading "Sweden's Suicide Note." This gem was confirmed by Fjordman at his Gates of Vienna blog in 2006.

 I still think this the best example of Western Leftist Dhimmitude ever, combining defeatism, inevitability, false hope, and a fatal misunderstanding of Islam all in one sentence.
