DC Talk Show Host Michael Graham Fired Over Islam… Or Immigration?

Re: Joe Guzzardi's Column: "Will California's Population Reach 60 Million?"

From: Pete Brittain ([email protected]):

Before I moved away from California eight years ago, I had an office in Moreno Valley, referenced in Joe Guzzardi's column, for several years. I sold it when I retired from dentistry.

It was a good thing I did, because Moreno Valley, formerly known as Sunnymead [VDARE.COM Note: "Moreno" is the Spanish word for 'brown"—an appropriate name for this predominantly Hispanic community], spawned drive-by shootings, bars on businesses, gang fights and random acts of violence.

My partner and I, prior to selling the practice, were of the opinion that Moreno Valley was becoming a slum even as it grew. A strip center would be built and then abandoned or had most tenants go bust or move out and then become an eyesore, with for rent signs in the vacant windows. The shopping center directly to the east of us was almost totally abandoned and the supermarket building boarded up.

If Moreno Valley is the future of California, I shudder to think of what the future will hold. I can remember days in the '50s, when there was minimal traffic and my buddies and I would go to the Palos Verdes Peninsula and snorkel for abalone in 10 feet of water.

May God have mercy on California.
