Re: Paul Nachman's Blog: Annals Of Stupidity: American Officialdom

In his blog about an attack in East Boston on a white fireman, Nachman quoted from the Boston Herald, "…a group of Hispanic males who told him they 'don't want any gringo here.'" [Off-Duty Boston Firefighter Stabbed Outside Station, By Laurel J. Sweet, December 3, 2007]

What Sweet means by "Hispanic males" is Mara Salvatrucha, MS-13.

East Boston is a significant operation base for MS-13.  One Boston cop told me that the police are virtually in fear of them.

When I was growing up in Boston during the 1980s and 1990s, the east part of town was a quaint Italian neighborhood with great restaurants.  Now I wouldn't drive through there during daylight.

Boston has long had two traditional Italian neighborhoods, east Boston and the North End.

There are still Italians in the North End which has become an exclusive place to live.  But East Boston became predominately Hispanic virtually overnight and there has been an "Italian flight" from the neighborhood.

The East Boston branch of MS-13 calls itself the "Loco Salvadorans" and you can see them loitering around the Maverick T subway station wearing their blue and white bandanas.

These immigrants are certainly not "in the shadows" and they clearly like to flex their muscle in the neighborhood often in weirdly violent ways

They've been involved in home invasions and machete attacks.  And most disturbingly, five years ago two MS-13 members were convicted of raping two deaf teenagers in a Boston area park.  One of the girls was knocked off her wheelchair in the attack.

East Boston is a peninsula, near downtown, but also geographically isolated from the rest of the city.  That's one reason why Logan Airport is located there, and from downtown, you have to take the airport tunnel to reach it.

Perhaps the MS-13 decided to plant itself in East Boston because its relative isolation allowed it to have a Boston headquarters without the rest of the city noticing.  Or maybe MS-13 wanted to be near the airport which has been a busy drug smuggling port in the past.

The MS-13 has been linked with al-Qaeda.  And remember, the two jetliners that crashed into the World Trade Center were hijacked from Logan Airport.

You might say that East Boston is one of many places where Jihad and reconquista meet.

Richer is the author of Busing's Boston Massacre. His most recent letters about two famous open borders advocates, ESPNS' Peter Gammons are here and Bruce Springsteen, here.

Other Richer letters to VDARE.COM about the Hispanization of Boston (with further observations about MS-13), Mitt Romney (a "phony" says Richer) and illegal aliens on Cape Cod are here, here and here
