07/28/07 - Saturday Forum: An African American Reader in Illinois Says Illegal Immigration Hurts Unskilled Black Workers; etc.

From: Eduardo C. Garcia (e-mail him)

Re: Joe Guzzardi's Column: The Parable of the Prodigal Wilson

Gov. Pete Wilson was way ahead of his time in politics. Whenever I hear about immigration, I recall Wilson's predictions and problem solving ideas about illegal immigration from two decades ago. Included, of course, is Proposition 187.

As unlikely as it is, I would like to see Wilson become president. With his strong leadership and his motivational skills, Wilson could bring the GOP and America back into power.

Wilson reminds me of President Ronald Reagan. These two great Americans are my heroes.

Garcia was born in Honolulu. After his father was wounded during the attack on Pearl Harbor, Garcia's family moved to San Diego. He joined the USAF in Los Angeles and retired as a Master Sergeant from Edwards A.F.B after twenty years service.
