These columns that Brenda Walker writes about automation fascinate and horrify me at the same time. This is a grim future indeed and something that with the possible exception of Donald Trump none of the candidates are discussing. In thinking about this problem and the accompanying illustration for Ms. Walker's post I remembered a scene from an old movie that I have linked to.
