War On Christmas
Saint Rosalia was proposed as the patron saint of evolutionary studies in a paper by G.E. Hutchinson. This was due to a visit he paid to a pool of water downstream from the cave where St. Rosalia's remains were found, where he developed ideas based on observations of water boatman. The article, and its reference to St. Rosalia has lived on through the literature, often in the title of papers concerning biodiversity.
Kent Falls, CT, Beautiful…until America’s Immigration Disaster (illegal AND legal) reached it
$17,200!—that’s about how much VDARE.com had raised (tax-deductibly) as of today, September 3, counting snailmailed checks, towards our $30,000 Summer Appeal goal.
So, despite suspending our Appeal over the Labor Day weekend, we’re already over 57% there!
I want personally to thank all of our readers who have contributed—above all our old friends. We owe you everything.
We now hope we’ve resolved the technical software problems that caused us to suspend the Appeal. So (to ape the immigration enthusiasts) let’s get this done! We don’t want to be forced into a supplementary Appeal later this year.
Congress reconvenes this Friday, September 6th and the Amnesty/ Immigration Surge bill is still hanging fire. There’s just too much going on!
- If you have already purchased a VIP Summer Appeal Pass for $100, you will be able to access the site throughout the rest of this Appeal! Of course, if you are among the generous group that gives more, that will enable us to open VDARE.com all the sooner!
- If you can’t afford $100—and we know that all too many of our readers cannot
A Reader Hears People Starting To Say "Happy Holiday" On July Fourth—That’s Starting The “War On Christmas” Early!
From: Eric Kessler [Email him]
Last Saturday, I attended an open house for a local preschool as a possibility for my oldest daughter, who will be 3 years old this summer.
While I was there, I didn't really like it.
On the way home, I really didn't like it.
The more I think about it, the worse it gets.
There were several problems, from the teachers obviously ignoring the shy kids (mine included) while fawning over the precocious ones, to the fact that my daughter already knows everything they teach, even though she isn't old enough to attend for another six months.
War On Christmas: A Reader Notes Christophobic Google Is Pushing Happy Holidays Not Only On December 25, But On January 7 In Russia!

Before Christmas, George Soros’s Media Matters operation had an attack on The O’Reilly Factor’s Bill O’Reilly, constantly denounced by War On Christmas Deniers as the point man in the Khristmaskampf resistance:
O'Reilly Again Covered The "War On Christmas" More Than Three Times As Much As Actual Conflicts In Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, And Gaza.
By Ben Dimiero, Matt Gertz, & Rob Savillo, December 19, 2012
From December 1 through 18, The O'Reilly Factor spent more than 55 minutes on the "War on Christmas" but only about 17 minutes covering military conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, and Gaza.[Mor
MediaMatters included this helpful graphic, which gives you an idea of the amount of coverage given to the War On Christmas by O’Reilly:
Of course, this is not actually that much. The O’Reilly Factor broadcast a total of 720 minutes—an hour every weekday—over that period. And, while 55 minutes of airtime on Fox Network would be a lot if you had to buy it as ads, it’s not “flooding the zone”.

I don't know if this could qualify as "War Against Christmas" material, but I submit for your consideration.
