Spared! No Graham or McCain this Sunday!
For the first time since I was inspired by Mickey Kaus to start monitoring handling of the 2013 Amnesty battle by the Sunday Talk Shows, neither of the Treason Twins, Senators McCain and Graham, appear this Sunday. That is a rare event, going back I believe many weeks. What a relief from over exposure so extreme as to be comic.
That is the only good news. Despite the Amnesty/Immigration Acceleration Bill continuing to be rammed through the Senate, and the House Treason Coven alleging a deal, no immigration discussion slot is scheduled on any of the talk shows according to Politico and no Patriotic leader has been allowed to appear. Business as usual.
The MSM is using this week’s crop of scandals, as they did the Boston Bombers, to distract

Proof that Mickey Kaus was right in Kaus: Obama scandals helping The Eight Banditos appeared with surprising speed yesterday in Lerner’s admission of IRS’s inappropriate behavior was pre-planned public disclosure by Alexis Levinson The Daily Caller 5/17/2013
WASHINGTON – Last week, Lois Lerner, head of the tax exempt division of the Internal Revenue Service dropped a bombshell: The IRS had been applying extra scrutiny to conservative groups claiming tax exempt status...
As it turns out, it was not a spontaneous revelation. The question, said outgoing IRS Commissioner Steven Miller in testimony before the House Ways and Means Committee Friday, was planted, as part of a prepared strategy for the IRS to release this information to the public.
The explosion of rage about the politicization of the IRS has all but completely obliterated coverage of the Amnesty/Immigration Acceleration Bill by the Talk Shows and by Drudge. Coverage by the MSM has always been minimal, of course, but they have leapt at the chance to publicize Treason Lobby servants Senators Rubio and Graham posturing as defenders of the people. Patriots need to question the timing.
News that the release was very likely a sophisticated PR stratagem makes John Hinderaker’s calm wisdom
It's my job as a conservative to depress you, so I'm sad to say that, as this will be my last blogpost here, you'll have to find some other way to get yourself down from now on; maybe stick yourself in a room with some Radiohead CDs and
More flop sweat—Politico is starting to worry that the House of Representatives will stop the Amnesty steamroller.
Immigration reform no sure bet, By Seung Min Kim and Jake Sherman, Politico.com, May 17, 2013
After years of false starts, Washington finally appears to be on the path to rewriting the nation’s immigration laws.
Nicholas Stix reports from the Knoxville Horror Retrial: George Thomas guilty on all 46 counts.See earlier trial coverage at his own site.
The Knoxville Horror was the murder of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom by a group of blacks. There was a long trial, not much covered in the national media, and a retrial necessitated by the fact that the judge was on drugs.
Steve Sailer has a Takimag column callled Frequently Asked Questions about the Jason Richwine Brouhaha . An excerpt:
The Richwine Affair is turning into a 21st Century version of the Dreyfus Affair, with intellectuals weighing in on their chosen sides. There's a vague sense growing that which side you choose matters. From the Washington Examiner:

A continuing theme of mine is that the modern world runs to a large extent on "selectionism" (e.g., college admissions or Goldman Sachs hiring or military recruiting or the NFL draft), and that everybody knows that in their own lives, but we're not supposed to analogize from how the world works in our daily lives to public policy. And people turn out to be really, really bad at doing rationally what they are warned not to do.
Thursday was Day #3 of the Senate mark-up of S.744 in the Judiciary Committee. Unsurprisingly the Gang of Eight Republicans on the committee (Senators McCain and Flake) continued to hang tough with Democrats to prevent any meaningful amendments.
Even rumors of immigration enforcement are overwhelmingly effective. The San Joaquin Valley was shut down last week, with illegal aliens in panic mode when rumors of immigration sweeps of the center of illegal immigration ran rampant.

Today is Boswell-Johnson Day. It was 250 years ago today that James Boswell first met his intellectual hero.
From Boswell’s Life of Johnson, section headed “1763: ætat. 54.” (Which is to say, this was the year Johnson celebrated his 54th birthday. Boswell himself ætat. 23.)
