Immigrants List, one of the umpteen groups of open-borders noisemakers, is out with an email alert based upon their web page "Contenders For 2013 Hall of Shame."  They've just added freshman U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) to the page because of his recent statement:

I have deep concerns with the proposed path to citizenship.  To allow those who came here illegally to be placed on such a path is both inconsistent with the rule of law and profoundly unfair to the millions of legal immigrants who waited years, if not decades, to come to America legally.

In their alert, Immigrants' List explains, "[We're] waging an aggressive campaign to push back on inflammatory statements like these."

You read that correctly.  Cruz's mention of the rule of law and his distinction between legal and illegal aliens are "inflammatory."

This brings to mind Art Torres (former high-honcho in California's Democratic Party) likening 1994's Proposition 187 to "gas ovens" threatening Latinos.  (Listen here; see the full story here.)

That alert from Immigrants' List also says "Immigration reform deserves an honest and productive dialogue."  They must have in mind a dialogue involving those who agree with them 100 percent.
