The Daily Caller has now confirmed what Nicholas Stix reported a couple of days ago: a relative of George Zimmerman has claimed that Zimmerman was involved in a recent "anti-racism" campaign demanding that the son of a police officer be arrested for beating a homeless black man, Sherman Ware. DC's Matthew Boyle has details that appear to me to reflect well on the Sanford police: In 2010 race-related beating case, George Zimmerman pushed to discipline same officers who investigated Trayvon Martin shooting, April 2, 2012.

On Stix's original post, I wrote: "If the story proves out, Nicholas Stix has scooped the world." I was cautious, just as we were (fortunately) too cautious to post the fake pictures of Trayvon Martin that recently burned Michael Brendan Dougherty. But Stix interviewed the relative and went with his judgement. I congratulate him: he did indeed scoop the world.

Now let's see how far the story goes in the MSM.
