2 Pauls

Paul father and son - both tragic wastes

If any Patriots out there retain any hopes that Rand Paul might champion their interests they must surely abandon them after reading Rand Paul: Texas Could Turn Blue If Republicans Don't Adapt By Mollie Reilly The Huffington Post 02/09/2014

Speaking at a dinner hosted by the Harris County Republican Party in Houston, Texas on Saturday, Paul warned that the Lone Star State "will be a Democratic state within 10 years if you don't change."

…we have to be a more welcoming party,” Paul said, according to CNN. “We have to welcome people of all races. We need to welcome people of all classes — business class, working class.”

According to The Hill this effusion followed a pilgrimage to kiss the toe of the Bush Clan Mexamerican princeling

The remarks came following a meeting with George P. Bush, the 37-year-old son of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who's vying to become the next Texas Land Commissioner

Paul: GOP too narrow By Mike Lillis February 08, 2014

The Huffington Post reports this lethal comment on Immigration:

But I’ll tell you, what I will say and what I’ll continue to say, and it’s not an exact policy prescription ... but if you want to work and you want a job and you want to be part of America, we’ll find a place for you.”

It is an exact policy description: Open Borders.

VDARE.com very strongly rejects this defeatism in Texas as VDARE.com Editor Peter Brimelow laid out in "It's Basically Over For Anglos" In Texas. Or Have They Not Yet Begun To Fight? It is however true that the Texas political process is subject to serious subversion by Plutocrats  - but the most serious immediate risk is voter fraud.

So what do we make of Rand Paul?

Peter Brimelow, charitable as always has said:

My impression of Rand Paul is that he literally hasn't thought about the immigration issue (not unusual for cloistered libertarians) and doesn't really understand it. (In the video linked here, although commendably citing Milton Friedman on the incompatibility of immigration and the welfare state, he confuses green cards with citizenship). It is logically possible to combine libertarianism with immigration patriotism, and Paul (like his father) has shown signs of doing so instinctively. Whether this will survive the pressures of the MSM, left-libertarian loonies, and campaign donors is questionable—unless, of course, he actually wants to be President.

Personally my view is that he (or his campaign consultants) smell the money.
