President Obama referred to immigration twice in his DC speech. First this:

  • "We don’t think that government can solve all of our problems, but we don’t think that government is the source of all of our problems—any more than are welfare recipients, or corporations, or unions, or immigrants, or gays, or any other group we’re told to blame for our troubles."

The "immigrants" he's talking about here are illegal immigrants—they're the only immigrants mainstream Republicans would think of blaming.

But the second instance is really blatant:

  • "You’re the reason a young immigrant who grew up here and went to school here and pledged allegiance to our flag will no longer be deported from the only country she’s ever called home..."

Remarks by the President at the Democratic National Convention

Time Warner Cable Arena,  Charlotte, North Carolina

September 7, 2012

Here he's boasting about his illlegal and unconstitutional Administrative Amnesty.

Obama actually had a beneficiary of this amnesty address the Convention.

It's not true, by the way, that all the beneficiaries of this illegal action have never called any other country home. They can apply for amnesty if they arrived illegally any time before their 16th birthday.

Will any Republicans or Conservatism Inc. commentators call Obama on this?
