The New GOP plan to rejuvenate the party contains this line: "If Hispanics think that we do not want them here, they will close their ears to our policies."

For one thing, some of us don't want them here. Nor do we want Chinaman, Congolese, or, for that matter, a 20-million Germans.

For another, Hispanics don't much care about the immigration issue. Heather Mac Donald has repeatedly shown that Hispanics vote Democrat because they are liberal, not because they care that much about open borders.

Of course, the appeal in Spanish is front and center on the GOP website.
