The 287 (g) program has received a lot of coverage from VDARE.com—it enabled sheriffs who had illegal aliens in custody to check their immigration status and turn them over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement for deportation. This required that the local government not be under the control of treasonous pro-illegal alien politicians. It would never have been allowed in Rudy Giuliani's New York, for example.

In the wake of the recent Supreme Court decision on Arizona's SB 1070, where a somewhat confused Supreme Court upheld the right of the police to enforce the law, we find that the 287 (g) program also requires that  the national government not be under the control of treasonous pro-illegal alien politicians. In this case, it's not allowed in Barack Obama's America:
