A mass shooting at Oikos University, a Korean-American school of nursing, et cetera, is apparently another case of immigrant mass murder syndrome, as both victims and shooter are Korean:

"The suspect was taken into custody in the neighboring city of Alameda, according to law enforcement officials who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to release the information.

Officer Johnna Watson did not give any other details about the suspect. Authorities earlier described him as a heavyset Korean man in his 40s wearing khaki clothing."

[Police: 7 dead, 3 injured in shooting attack at Calif. Christian university; suspect detained, Washington Post, April 2, 2012]

Video here features a police spokeswoman saying "We know this to be a Korean College..."

Well, she knows it, but headline writers won't mention it.

Korea has universal conscription, which means that the gunman was probably better trained than most murderers. In spite of that factor, look for this to be blamed on American gun culture.

The headline in this NPR story is typical:7 Dead In Shooting At Christian University In Oakland.
