The Manhattan Institute's Harry Stein is a neoconservative in the old sense of a man who was raised liberal, mugged by reality, and changed from Democrat to Republican. He's had a couple of bestsellers out of this life story, called How I Accidentally Joined the Vast Right-wing Conspiracy and I Can't Believe I'm Sitting Next to a Republican. He's now writing what he expects to be his last book. Here's why he expects it to be his last:

10. Any plans to write another book? If so, about what?

I’m in the middle of one now. The projected title should be self-explanatory: “Everything You’ve Always Thought About Race (but were afraid to say).” For obvious reasons, it might well be my last.
