I was not impressed by letter writer Sanchez's daughter Jane and her 3.94 GPA. And I’m not surprised by the rejections she received from the Ivy League colleges.

Here in California, my situation is much worse.

My daughter “Susan” is graduated this week from a very competitive majority White/Asian high school. Her GPA is 4.64 and she received high scores on her SAT and ACT tests--scoring in the 99th percentile on some of the sections. She also garnered scores of fives on her AP exams, including calculus, and biology.

This was not good enough---every Ivy League school she applied to rejected her---not wait-listed but flat out rejected.

And yes, Susan cried a flood of tears. What do I tell my beautiful 18-year old daughter who has spent her life hunkered over books (she actually enjoys this)?

I opted to tell her the truth---that because she has white skin, she must stand aside as minorities who are not as capable or didn't study as hard are selected because they don't have white skin? The sooner Susan learns how unfairly things now work in America, the easier, less frustrating her life will be.

To make matters worse, because of her grades and test scores my daughter was in place to be Salutatorian.

But abruptly, two weeks ago, the Hispanic principal decided to switch my daughter to third place (no speech, no special honors), because the next highest-scoring student “took an extra class” and therefore deserved to be bumped ahead of Susan.

Of course, principal’s pet is half-Hispanic with a Hispanic surname. The cowardly principal didn't have the guts to tell my daughter in person about the arbitrary change; Susan learned from a fellow student.

When she arrived home, Susan had what can only be described as a nuclear meltdown. I feared that we would have to take her to the hospital for sedation.

The principal didn’t return our calls until my husband finally reached him at his office. In the end, we could do nothing. Obviously, there are no white advocacy groups that I can turn to as would a Hispanic or black.

These are the kids who are being tossed aside by the hostile elites who control our government.

Susan will go to UC Berkeley in the fall. But the falsely promoted half-Hispanic girl got a full ride to Harvard including travel, living expenses and pocket money including travel and living expenses and walk around money each month.

It is no wonder whites are angry, furious at the injustices done to them--Kevin MacDonald writes that it is revenge for mistreatment in Europe. And as MacDonald further explains, hostile elites consider all whites as guilty, even those like me whose relatives died fighting the Nazis in WWII.

I know you publish these so called controversial writers at great personal risk, but theirs are critical voices in understanding the injustices heaped on Western Civilization and the whites that created it.

VDARE.com salutes and thanks reader Philip Sanchez for very courageously, in the midst of massive family distress, offering his own particular example of white dispossession at the Ivy Leagues. It has exposed him to much vilification in the blogosphere, as Patrick Cleburne has discussed. Carole Cummings, who is really on the same page - and whose contribution is welcomed - could also have offered more compassion.

A California Educator Says U.S. Universities Belong To U.S. Kids

I’m commenting on Phillip Sanchez’s daughter Jane, denied admission at many of the nation’s top schools, and Chinese-American letter writer Merry Li who says that its tough rocks for Jane if she cannot compete with foreign-born students.

I have bad news for Li. American universities belong to Jane, not students from all over the world.

Jane’s parents and millions like them paid taxes for the schools that educated the Ivy League professors, the infrastructures that surround the schools, fought in our countries wars and sacrificed in dozens of other ways small and large to provide the best for their children.

Harvard and other Ivy League university’s donors get tax breaks and working class Americans have to pay more taxes to make up for that.

Obviously, we can’t compete with every Third World person that comes to the U.S. Our public schools try to educate everybody, even the illegal aliens, much to the detriment of regular American students. India, by contrast, concentrates on its best and brightest and its less fortunate can starve for all the country cares.

Brenda Walker recently blogged on what an outstanding university Mexico has. I’m sure other countries have similarly exemplary institutions of higher learning. Let the foreign-born students stay where they are to get their educations and to eventually better their own nations.

A British Reader Offers His Opinion About What’s Bad About The BNP

Re: J. Paige Straley’s Column: An American Asks What’s So Bad About The BNP Anyway?

As a British reader of your site, I was interested to read J. Paige Straley's endorsement of the British National Party. I am disappointed that Straley didn't scrutinize the BNP more closely before penning his endorsement.

Straley could have started his research with an interesting YouTube video of the BNP's leader, Nick Griffin, in discussion with David Duke. (Watch it here)

During the video, Griffin remarks:

“There’s a difference between selling out your ideas and selling your ideas. And the BNP isn’t about selling out its ideas, which are your ideas too, but we are determined now to sell them. That means basically to use the saleable words. As I say, freedom, security, identity, democracy. Nobody can criticize them. Nobody can come at you and attack you on those ideas. They are saleable. Perhaps one day, once by being rather more subtle we’ve got ourselves in a position where we control the British broadcasting media, the British people might change their mind and say, [in reference to ethnic minorities] ‘Yes, every last one must go’”.

“But if you offer that as your sole aim to start with, you’re gonna get absolutely nowhere. So, instead of talking about racial purity, we talk about identity.'”

Griffin’s sentiments aren't surprising given the sympathies of the BNP's founder John Tyndall and are reflected by the fact that party membership is only open to those of British or "kindred European ethnic descent".

So a British version of Michelle Malkin would be barred from the BNP—regardless of how patriotic she may be.

This seems to me obviously wrong. Opposition to mass immigration and multiculturalism need not entail racial discrimination or a quest for "racial purity". And I certainly don't want any future government of mine to "control the British broadcasting media".

All of the above is what's so bad about the BNP.

James Fulford writes: The above may be reasons for people in Britain not to vote for the BNP (the UK Independence Party is a kinder, gentler alternative) but not really enough to inspire the mass panic seen in the British media and political class. Mark Steyn writes in Canada's Macleans Magazine that

"Already, the European political class is congratulating itself at holding the tide of neo-nationalism to the low double-digits. I’d say some of these results are pretty remarkable given that these parties are all but excluded from the public discourse and that even a relatively mild dissenter from the consensus such as the Dutch parliamentarian Geert Wilders has been banned from setting foot in Britain and is undergoing prosecution for his views in the Netherlands. What makes the Labour Party 'mainstream' with 15 per cent of the vote and UKIP the 'fringe' with 17 per cent? Nothing, other than the blinkers of the politico-media class. But if you want to drive the electorate toward the wilder shores in ever greater numbers, keep crying 'Racist!' at every opportunity."
